21-year-old Kelvin Aymer of Davy Hill died almost on the spot in a road accident on Wednesday evening around 7.00 o’clock when the bicycle he was riding down the Brades main road collided with a motor vehicle reportedly being driven by a male family member.
Royal Montserrat Police Force (RMPF) Commissioner Steve Foster confirmed that Aymer died as a result of the collision with a motor vehicle while he was riding his bike in the Brades area, just above Government Headquarters.
Reports state that the youth had only moments before been involved in a minor accident further up Brades road before encountering the vehicle that was traveling up the Brades Road in the opposite direction, just opposite to the road entrance to the Bruce Farara building, which houses the Clerk of Council office and the ECCB Agency office. The reports further state that the motor vehicle ran off the road and down the left embankment on the premises below.
The police reports that there has been no arrest, but they are still carrying out investigations into the fatal accident.
