Up to two barrels per household will cost only $50.00 duty till January 31, 2012

By Order made by the Governor acting on the advice of Cabinet on October 27, 2011, anyone collecting barrels for the Christmas festival season are again offered a discount.

According to the Order the discount via The Customs Service Tax is waived on a maximum of two (2) barrels per household, landed between  November 1, 2011 and  January 15, 2012.

To benefit from this waivers, the barrels must be cleared by January 31, 2011.

The waiver of duty is granted on food and clothing only and the items in each barrel must be solely for personal use and not for commercial purposes. As such the charge will be $50.00 per household for two barrels.
