Two men have been jointly arrested and charged for having in their possession 10 and a half pounds of Cannabis on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.

Daryl Charles, 27, of Cassada Gardens and Deon Perkins, 37, of Hatton, were both charged with Possession of cannabis; Possession with Intent to Transfer; Attempting to Export; Drug Trafficking and Conspiracy.

A joint operation between the Police and Customs discovered the substance concealed inside two large acoustic speakers that were about to be loaded on the boat at the Heritage Quay Dock.

It is said that one man fled the scene, while the other was later picked up by the police.

Both speakers were found with a wrapped package weighing 5 ¼ pounds each.

The incident took place on Monday 28th October, 2013. They are expected to appear before the court on Thursday.
