PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Nov 21, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 rocked southern Trinidad on Sunday night, the Trinidad-based Seismic Research centre (SRC) of the University of the West Indies (UWI) has reported.
It said that the quake, which occurred at around 9.36 pm (local time) was approximately 74 kilometres west of San Fernando and 87 kilometres south-west of Port of Spain. It had a depth of 10 kilometers.
The SRC said that the quake was also felt in nearby areas including Arima, east of here.
There have been no reports of damages or injuries as a result of the quake which was located Latitude: 10.15N and Longitude: 62.11W.
