Trinidad rattled by earthquake, again

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Nov 29, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 rattled Trinidad on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.

earthquake_116789169The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the University of the West Indies (UWI), said that the quake, which occurred 3.43 pm (local time) had a depth of 10 kilometers.

It said it was felt west of San Fernando, south of here and south-west of the capital, Port of Spain and south west of Arima, east of here.

The quake was located Latitude 10.24 degrees north and Longitude 62.17 degrees west.

On November 20, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 hit Trinidad and Tobago. But in recent days, the SRC has recorded tremors in Dominica, grenada and Barbados.
