PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 rocked Trinidad and Tobago late Thursday (May 25) night, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injury, the Seismic Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) reported Friday.
It said that the quake, which occurred at 11.02 pm (local time), occurred north of the Paria Peninsula.
“The event was located at 11.15°N and 62.23°W. The magnitude was 4.4 and the depth was 62km. It was reportedly felt widely in Trinidad,” the Seismic Unit said in a statement.
