Traffic lights adorn major road project

Motorists and pedestrians have been visiting the road works, part of the Salem to St. John’s road rehabilitation being carried out at particularly at Cassava Ghaut, where a new bridge is being constructed. The special visits and experience are on the installation and operation of new traffic lights erected to facilitate the flow of orderly traffic.

Director of Public Works Ron Beardsley however explained that motorists should also note that in addition to the lights, they should take note of road signs which show ‘Road Works Ahead’and take caution as they approach the works.

Another area of interest would be Brades main road where continuous works have been progressing for some months now and traffic lights might replace the men with the their ‘’go ” and ‘’stop” signs.
