Three police officers arrested in murder of businesswoman

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Three police officers are assisting their colleagues in the murder of a 62-year-old businesswoman who was shot and killed in an apparent hit last Friday.

Assistant Commissioner, Ealan Powell, who is also head of the Criminal Investigation Branch, said the third cop was arrested on Thursday and that the husband of the businesswoman, Vincent Coleman, had surrendered to police after being named a person of interest.

Police said that Norma Coleman was killed after gunmen in another vehicle intercepted hers and fired several gunshots in the car.

Police have also appealed to another man, Marshall Small, to surrender to the Mandeville Police, saying he could assist them in their investigations.
