25 Tae Kwon Do students gathered at the St. Peter’s church Hall for the final set of examinations for the calendar year.  Unlike the exam held this past May, the students were examined by Master John Lynch in the absence of Grand Master Hyun Ok Shin.

Mr. Lynch who has over 20 years as an instructor and is a 5th Degree Black Belt, conducted the examinations which took place on Saturday, November 30 ranging from White belt to ++1 Brown.  The examination required that the students perform basic movements, Tae Kwon Do Forms, Combinations and Free Fighting.  Students with red or higher belts were also required to break wood using techniques learned over the past six months.

DSC_0744A small crowd of parents, friends and well-wishers, cheered and witnessed the examinations which concluded with numerous promotions to higher belts.  Six students were not only promoted, but were able to skip a belt due to outstanding performance.

Chivone Gerald skipped from Purple to Second Red; Raston Fenton from Green to First Red; Ganeshwar Beni skipped from Red to Brown, Ditrel Rogers from Red to First Brown, Thanmay Gopal skipped from Purple to Second Red and Adonyjah Daley skipped from Second Red to Second Brown.
