(Adapted) Trinidad – September 10, 2015 – Following reports of a series of earthquakes on September 9, most of them of 4.0 magnitude strength, having occurred to the northeast of Barbados within an 18-hour period; the latest, a 4.1 magnitude quake that was recorded 135 km northeast and occurred at 8:36 a.m., according to the University of the West Indies’ Seismic Research Centre.
Then PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – September 10, 2015 – A 4.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Trinidad and Tobago early this morning, but there have been no reports of injuries or damage.
The tremor occurred around 3:49 a.m. to the northwest of Trinidad, at a depth of 136 km, and was felt widely across the country.

Residents flooded the UWI Seismic Research Centre (SRC) Facebook page with posts indicating they felt the tremor, with some indicating it was so strong that it woke them from sleep.
