Montserrat’s Premier Donaldson Romeo was at the last minute on his way to Jamaica to join other CARICOM heads of Government, only to learn just before boarding a flight out of Antigua, discovered that the diplomatic arrangements were not in place.
The problem had arisen from Montserrat’s nonattendance at the Twenty-Sixth Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference, held in The Bahamas in February 2015.
Meanwhile The Secretary-General of CARICOM, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, will meet with Premier Romeo, on Monday, April 13, 2015. He will also meet Ministers of Government and will pay a courtesy call on the His Excellency Governor Adrian Davis.
The SG will take the opportunity to formally hand over a Briefing Document to the Premier and engage him on a few issues. He will also receive the perspectives of the Premier on developments in the regional integration process including any issues and/or concerns he may wish to highlight.
