Obituary – Catherine Elizabeth Graham

An Obituary

Catherine Graham

Catherine Elizabeth Graham

Catherine Elizabeth Graham was born on May 1/1950 in Yellowknife NWT, Canada.  Cathy is survived by her mother Eliza Bishop, six brothers and two sisters, their wives and husbands, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Her husband of 34 years Richard Graham, their daughters Diana (Darrell Crull) grandchildren, Devon (Ana), Dalina and their other daughter Deborah Graham.  Her father Lorne and her two sons David and Kevin predeceased Cathy.  Many of you knew Kevin from his years here on Montserrat, being pushed around in a Jogging Stroller as he could not walk.  Rick and Cathy started coming to Montserrat in the fall of 2008 and have spent a good portion of time each year on Montserrat living near the roundabout in Old Towne.  The rest of the year they resided in Dawson Creek BC, Canada.  As a Jehovah’s Witness and a member of the St. Peters Congregation in Montserrat, Cathy loved that the people of Montserrat have a deep respect for God and the Bible.  She spent much time at people’s houses sharing Bible scriptures and the hope of the future, engaging in bible discussions with the people of Montserrat, and elsewhere.

Below are some comments from a close friend:

Our Most beloved Catherine, as we called her “Cathy.”

Cathy was a wonderful and sweet person with a big heart.  She had a talent to make people laugh.  What made her happy was a house full of people and laughter.

Cathy was sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, put the others ahead of her and was generous.

Cathy always found comforting words to say but never a complaint about herself.

Cathy was a very caring, patient and devoted mother who always considered others and gave her all.  She loved animals and treated them with kindness but what was special about her is, Cathy loved people and used every opportunity to give people comfort from God’s word because she knew that this was the only real hope and solution for mankind’s problems.

Cathy will be greatly missed and leaves a void in our lives but it will only be for a short while because we will embrace Cathy and Kevin and others soon in a beautiful new World here on the Earth that Jehovah our wonderful Father in heaven will prepare for us.

Catherine fell asleep in death June 6/2015 (John 11:11-14). A funeral was held for Catherine on June 17 and she was buried at the Lookout Public Cemetery. Though she will be missed greatly, her friends and family wait for the day when we will see her and others resurrected back to life once more in the coming paradise (Acts 24:15).  The family and relatives of Catherine Graham wish to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to all who provided and have continued to provide support and encouragement during this difficult time.  The outpouring of your warm and loving kindness will never be forgotten. May Jehovah bless you all – Numbers 6:24-26.
