The Golden Arrow Head association GAA has scheduled a prayer Vigil for the St. Peters Parish launch this Saturday, president for the association Tracy Sipio says, Guyanese groups around the world have set aside a day to call for peace and unity in Guyana trough prayers and other activities.
Sipio says the idea for the prayer vigil came from a member of the Golden Arrow Head association Dianne Cumberbatch. The GAA president says the vigil which begins at six in the evening, following a motorcade which begins at 5.00 p.m. This is being organized in light of the recent killing of protesters in Linden nine days ago, three persons have died and others have been injured allegedly at the hands of police officers.
She also said this issue is not unique to Guyana and is therefore encouraging Guyanese and all nationals on Montserrat to come together to pray for the peace and unity of Guyana and by extension the Caribbean region and the world.
