Fuel strike will force flight disruptions in Antigua and from Montserrat

Unconfirmed information from a news release has advised of reports that as a result of Industrial action [strike] by the fuel company in Antigua, no aviation fuel is available there.

It is advised “Whilst the strike continues there will inevitably be considerable disruption to flights to and from Montserrat.”

Nigel Harris of Montserrat Airways Ltd. is suggesting also that connecting flights from Antigua are also subject to cancellation or delay, and passengers are advised to  check with their Airlines before travelling.

Meanwhile he recommends that Passengers should please check with FlyMontserrat on 491 3434 for updates on the situation.
