The Commissioner of Financial Services Commission (FSC) will be the Registrar of Companies, Trademarks and Patents from the beginning of the new year 2012.
With effect from January 3, 2012, the first working day of the new year, the administrative functions of the Registrar of Companies, Trademarks and Patents will be assumed by the Financial Services Commission. These functions along with its current responsibilities for off-shore companies and banks, will include the incorporation of local companies; registration of external companies; filing of companies’ annual returns; facilitating searches of companies records; registration of trademarks and patents; and all related activities.
These offices will be situated on the ground floor of Phoenix House which houses the FSC in Brades, Montserrat (entry leading from the Brades main road next to the Montserrat Building Society’s new office).
The FSC has been housed down stairs since and not too long ago displaced the Culture department and took over the entire building.
