Administrative Officer 1 at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Agency Office in Montserrat, Miss Lola Harris, on December 10, 2011 was awarded for her 20 (twenty) years invaluable contribution and dedication to the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Miss Harris was recognized at the bank’s recent staff award dinner in St. Kitts at the ECCB headquarters. Miss Harris was the first employee from the ECCB Agency Office to receive this award.
“I feel proud to know I have been honoured,” Miss Harris told The Montserrat Reporter (TMR). She added that she was grateful for the mentorship she received over the years from her employers. “I have been blessed to have great bosses… bosses with a vast amount of knowledge,” she beamed.
Lola said she started in 1991 with Miss Alfreda Meade who nurtured her, followed by Mr. Charles T. John, and currently Mrs. Claudette Weekes.
She noted that, “the demands the bank are faced with now have changed tremendously,” since she first started. However, she said she has been exposed to various training that have enabled her to preform her duties. Miss Harris she was also grateful for the help she has been receiving from the staff at the ECCB.
Meanwhile, Head of the ECCB Local agency Office Claudette Weekes speaking in a ZJB broadcast said, Miss. Harris is a reliable and diligent working person and deserves the award. “Lola is a fine worker. Her attention to details is remarkable; her loyalty, her dependability. These are qualities you can’t easily get these days…,” said Mrs. Weekes.
