Suitably qualified citizens of member territories of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) are invited to apply to fill vacant positions at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, headquartered in Basseterre, St Kitts.  The successful candidate will be based in St Kitts and will be hired initially on a two (2) year contractual engagement with the opportunity to transfer to the permanent establishment based on performance.  All applicants must complete the ECCB Employment application form which is available on the ECCB Website (www.eccb-centralbank.org).

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER I (SHARED SERVICES) HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER I (STRATEGIC BUSINESS)  
Duties (include but are not limited to): Collecting, preparing and analyzing relevant human resource data inclusive of relevant HR metrics that can inform policy decisions of the organization   Assisting with Generalist HR matters and providing day to day support   Providing support in executing and administering the Bank’s payroll, benefits and compensation package;   Assisting with executing recruiting, onboarding and succession planning initiatives   Assisting the HR Management in managing compliance and risk functions   Providing support to the HR Management in the achievement of the Bank’s Strategic plan and strengthening employee engagement   Other related duties as may be assigned by the Director, Human Resources Department       Duties (include but are not be limited to): Influence, design and manage varying data collection methods and tools to aid in the implementation and management of key organization and talent development initiatives Collect, prepare and analyze relevant human resource data inclusive of relevant HR metrics that can inform policy decisions of the organization Recommend and execute recruiting initiatives to identify and select best fit candidates to match organizational vacancies Assist with the coordination and implementation of creative onboarding measures to drive employee retention and engagement Assist with the development and recommendation of proactive and impactful leadership and succession planning initiatives Partner with the HR Management in identifying, recommending, implementing and assessing  transformational/change initiatives in support of the achievement of the Bank’s Strategic plan and strengthening employee engagement Research, design and implement achievable solutions, policies and processes to optimize workforce planning and organizational design vital to preemptive organization planning. Other related duties as may be assigned by the Director, Human Resources Department.

Applicants must have:

  • A first degree in Humanities, Management Studies or Human Resource Management
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in a generalist human resource environment with exposure to payroll, benefits management and health and wellness programmes.

Possession of any or all of the following would be an asset:

  • A Masters degree in a relevant discipline and current membership in a professional HRM organization would be assets
  • Familiarity with Information Systems/databases, in particular SAP including the ability to query relational databases in Human Resources Information Systems.
