Early Childhood Month – June

Ministry staff , parents, teachers and care staff attended the church servide at Behesda Methodist

It is that month of the year, June, when the Ministry of Education embarks on celebrating a month-long Early Childhood month (ECM).

Under the theme “Working Together to Build a Better Foundation for Our Young Minds”. ECM got off to a fitting start with a church service at the Bethesda Methodist Church at Cavalla Hill on June 2, 2019.

It is a packed calendar and all nine early childhood centres will participate in the packed month of activities, where the centres display activities around their themes.

The centres are: Brades Nursery School; Salem Day Care, Salem Nursery School, St. John’s Day Care,  Look Out Nursery School, Look Out Day Care, Little Angels Childcare, Aunt Madge Childcare, and Sweet Angels Valley Day Care & Preschool.

Early into the month on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Aunt Madge Childcare with the theme – Community Workers, representatives  from the Fire Department, Police, Nurses and teachers presented to the children, who hailed from all the centres but one. They participated in the activities. Aunt Madge had the bakery as well where she worked with children to make bread and cookies.
