Diesel Generation as a Backup NOT a Permanent Solution.

Author –  Marketing Department MGC Ltd.

MGC Ltd. has a strong desire to prove the commercial value of geothermal energy here on Montserrat and allow every Montserratian to participate in the development of their natural resource.  MGC Ltd. sees this resource coming on line within two years of being granted a licence to generate electricity.

MGC Ltd. has proposed a new efficient multi megawatt diesel generation station as a back up to geothermal steam driven generators using the natural resource found here on Montserrat.  Diesel is not intended to be the only power source.

MGC Ltd. would build this facility with the help of present and past MUL employees and provide a structure large enough to accommodate additional units as well as a centre of Excellence for diesel motor and ancillary equipment maintenance.

MCG Ltd. is prepared to construct such a station after receiving a licence to generate power without putting the country into debt or raising the price of electricity.

MGC will be owned and operated by Montserratians and property owners of Montserrat for the benefit of Montserrat.
