Following, he outlined: The four (4) retail units at the Marine Village in Little Bay are almost completed; MDC has completed the renovation of one of the three privately owned retail operations, also completed construction of the new ferry terminal at Little Bay port.

Over 100 persons were employed on the above projects. Work will shortly begin under MDC’s management on the multi-purpose sports arena. MDC has begun the excavation and filling of the Pipers Pond area to facilitate the beginning of the construction of the new town centre and work is ongoing on raising the entire hotel site to 4 metres above the present sea level. 25 local persons and businesses have gained employment as a result of these activities.

The One-Stop shop for investors; Investment briefs for potential investors; The MDC Invest Montserrat website has been praised as being very fit for purpose

We responded to Mr. Browne: “I trust you will see the last publication where you are the subject of discussion. (Article: MDC CEO Browne  establishes disdain for the Montserrat public – March 21, 2014)

“However I would be grateful if you would advise or inform me we publish of the MDC’s “activities and staffing that are not factual”. I will be able then to react to that and be more than happy to publish this statement and then correct any of the non-facts that we have published. (You may refer also to any other opinions that may have been expressed).

What you have submitted here is information that you are for the first time making available to this medium.”

We continued to ask for information regarding his website, feeling the need to point out: “I don’t have to say how sad it is that TMR has not been engaged or provided the information that can be of benefit Montserrat. That is what we complain about, the fact I would welcome your dispute.”

We to date received one bit of information regarding the Enterprise loans which said that 10 loans had been made for a total of $300,557.85).

Otherwise, Mr. Browne, having published his letter on his website and elsewhere responded, “Please note that we did not submit an article for publication we submitted a letter to the Editor, yet it would appear that you want to fact check our submission as well as elicit further information.

” It does not appear that this is your usual modus operandi when dealing with letters to the editor as if this had been the case then the letters we are referring to in our letter would not have been published given the factual inaccuracies.”

At this point we concluded that Mr. Browne was not fit for his job and suggested same to him and only recently privately to the Governor and the DFID rep.”

In addition we said to Mr Browne: “Again you refer in a way which is my opinion laughable to “factual inaccuracies”. Again I ask you to apprise me of those inaccuracies… Tell me what was there that is non-factual as it pertains to your communicating to the people of Montserrat, the issue I have with MDC under recent management…”
