Accommodation Providers to benefit from Marketing Techniques Workshop

A press release from the Montserrat Tourist Board (MTB) informs that accommodation providers particularly in the tourist and villa rental market across Montserrat are expected to benefit from a Marketing Techniques Workshop structured specifically for them.
In recognizing the importance of small properties within the tourism industry and to address the challenges these properties face, the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) through its Caribbean Technological Services (CTCS) Network Programme, equipped twenty three (23) resource persons operating in the bank’s Borrowing Member Countries (BMC’s) to train small property operators.
The MTB says that, “CDB through the CTCS Programme is sponsouring the Workshop, which aims to improve the performance of small properties that have been operating without creative marketing strategies including modern marketing techniques such as social media.”
After the Workshop the Facilitators will conduct one on one review sessions with each provider in an effort to offer advice on their proposed marketing action plan protocol and the most appropriate approaches to be used in developing and executing the protocol.
This Workshop is being coordinated by the Montserrat Tourist Board and will be held at the Grand View Bed and Breakfast in Baker Hill from Monday, February 3 – Tuesday, February 18, 2014 (excluding week-ends) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening.
